Amit Jain is ENGIE’s CEO & Country Manager for India and Managing Director for Renewables & Batteries across South-East Asia. Based in India, he leads the Group’s clean energy strategy in one of the world’s fastest-growing regions, with a portfolio spanning utility-scale renewables, hybrid energy systems, and grid-scale battery storage. Since joining ENGIE in 2018, he has built India’s renewable platform beyond 2 GW, building a high-performing team of over 400 professionals and driving growth across solar, wind, and hybrid technologies. His mandate today extends across South-East Asia, where he is focused on scaling ENGIE’s footprint in storage and integrated zero-carbon solutions.

With over two decades of experience across Asia, the Middle East, and Africa, Amit brings a rare blend of entrepreneurial instinct and corporate leadership. This unique trajectory allows him to combine a founder’s agility with a corporate leader’s ability to deliver at scale. He has successfully built and scaled organisations in high-growth, high-impact markets, aligning commercial performance with long-term sustainability goals.
