Held as part of BRE Summit 2026, alongside the 9th Session of the International Solar Alliance Assembly.

About ICGH

Launched in 2023, the International Conference on Green Hydrogen has developed into an important platform for dialogue and collaboration across the green hydrogen value chain. The conference supports the objectives of India’s National Green Hydrogen Mission by connecting government, industry, research institutions and international organisations.

ICGH provides a forum to discuss technology development, policy and regulatory frameworks, financing, infrastructure, standards, manufacturing, demand creation and the use of green hydrogen in major sectors of the economy. It also promotes the exchange of international experience and partnerships for green hydrogen and its derivatives.

ICGH 2026

The fourth International Conference on Green Hydrogen will bring together policymakers, industry leaders, investors, researchers, technology providers, project developers and international partners to advance a competitive and sustainable green hydrogen ecosystem.

Focus of the Fourth Edition

ICGH 2026 will focus on the practical requirements for moving green hydrogen projects from demonstration to commercial deployment. Discussions will address production costs, technology performance, domestic manufacturing, reliable offtake, storage and safety, enabling infrastructure, quality assurance and regulatory frameworks.

The conference will also examine the use of green hydrogen in fertilisers, steel and mobility, along with the role of fuel cells and hydrogen derivatives. International cooperation, investment and access to emerging global markets will remain central to the programme.

Building Partnerships for Deployment

ICGH 2026 will build on the experience of the previous three editions by strengthening cooperation between policy, technology, finance and industry. The conference will support partnerships that can accelerate domestic manufacturing, create demand, improve project viability and connect India’s green hydrogen ecosystem with global technology, capital and markets.

ICGH 2023: Establishing the Platform

The inaugural International Conference on Green Hydrogen was held from 5–7 July 2023 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. It brought together more than 2,700 registered participants from the Government of India, States and Union Territories, industry, academia and other countries.

The programme included seven plenary sessions, 16 parallel technical sessions and four panel discussions. The discussions covered hydrogen production, electrolysis, storage and transportation, fuel cells, mobility, industrial applications, standards, green financing, research and development, and hydrogen hubs.

ICGH 2023 established a common forum for policy, science and industry, while placing international cooperation and the full green hydrogen value chain at the centre of the discussion.

Past Editions

ICGH 2024: Expanding Participation

The second edition was held from 11–13 September 2024 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. It attracted over 8,500 delegates, including more than 3,000 youth and students.

The conference featured international perspectives from the United States, European Union, Australia, the Netherlands, Germany and IRENA. Its 22 breakout sessions covered electrolysis, storage and transportation, biomass pathways, defence applications, mobility, shipping, aviation, steel and refineries. The programme also included the GH2THON Hackathon, a green hydrogen quiz, a poster competition and a youth session.

The second edition widened ICGH’s international and sectoral reach, combining technical deliberations with youth engagement, innovation activities and country-level dialogue.

Past Editions

ICGH 2025: Advancing Implementation

The third edition was held on 11–12 November 2025 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The programme included two plenary discussions and a series of thematic dialogues, roundtables and breakout sessions.

Discussions focused on scaling up production, infrastructure and demand, along with financing, certification, port readiness, skill development and technology localisation. International participation included representatives from IRENA, Hydrogen Europe, the H2Global Foundation, the Korea Hydrogen Alliance and the Port of Rotterdam Authority.
