Chirag Shah

Chirag Shah is Head – Kandla Green Ammonia Development Project at L&T and has around 30 years of diversified experience across Green Energy, Power, Electrical & Automation and Corporate functions. He currently leads the end-to-end development of L&T’s Kandla Green Ammonia Project, encompassing project structuring, strategic partnerships, renewable energy sourcing, regulatory approvals, project commercialization and commercial negotiations. 

Over his career with L&T, Chirag Shah has held leadership roles across Green Energy, Commercial Strategy, Business Development, Marketing, Estimation and Sales. In the green energy domain, he has worked extensively on green hydrogen and green ammonia initiatives, including technology partnerships, supply-chain localization, government incentive frameworks and development of large-scale green ammonia projects. He has also led commercial activities for electrolyser technology licensing and secured significant incentives under Central and State Government schemes for electrolyser manufacturing.

Prior to his green energy roles, he spent over a decade in the power sector, leading marketing, estimation and commercial functions for large EPC opportunities. His experience also spans Electrical & Automation businesses, key account management and an assignment in L&T’s CMD’s Office, giving him broad exposure across technology, project development, commercial strategy and customer engagement.
