Bio
Amit Manohar is the Secretary General of the Indian Solar Manufacturers Association (ISMA), the national industry body representing India’s domestic solar PV manufacturing ecosystem. In this role, he engages with government, industry, and institutional stakeholders on policies and frameworks to strengthen India’s solar manufacturing competitiveness, quality and reliability, investment facilitation, and resilient supply chains.
Prior to ISMA, Amit was with Invest India (Government of India’s National Investment Promotion & Facilitation Agency under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry), where he led work for the energy sector. During his tenure, he supported end-to-end project facilitation and was instrumental in anchoring investment projects with an aggregate value of over USD 2 billion across India’s energy landscape.
Amit holds an MBA (Finance) from IIM Ranchi and a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering from M.S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bengaluru.
