Shri Ramakrishna Satluri
CEO, Shakti Pumps | National Governing Council Member, National Solar Energy Federation of India (NSEFI)
The Lucknow Roadshow opened with Shri Ramakrishna Satluri placing renewable energy firmly inside India’s economic-growth, energy-security and long-term development agenda rather than treating it merely as an alternative source of power.
He pointed to utility-scale projects as well as PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana and PM-KUSUM as evidence that clean energy is moving beyond large power plants and reaching homes, farmers, businesses and communities.
For Uttar Pradesh, Satluri identified a strong regional capability base: engineering institutions, technology companies, component manufacturers, project developers and a large pool of skilled professionals, supported by what he described as a favourable environment for development.
His emphasis was on partnership. Government, industry, financial institutions, technology providers, startups, research organisations and academia, he argued, have to move together because no single stakeholder can deliver India’s energy transition alone.
That is why he framed the roadshow not simply as a preparatory event, but as a way to connect national ambition with regional capability and convert ideas into action.
Satluri said the goal was not only to expand clean energy, but to create a strong, sustainable and self-reliant energy future, while positioning Uttar Pradesh to establish a leadership role in the renewable-energy sector.
He closed by urging participants to use the Lucknow platform to exchange ideas, identify opportunities and build partnerships ahead of Bharat Renewable Energy Summit & Expo 2026, scheduled for 2–5 November 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.
