About Bharat Renewable Energy Summit & Expo 2026
The Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE) presents the Bharat Renewable Energy Summit & Expo (BRESE), its flagship international platform dedicated to advancing investment, innovation and collaboration across the global renewable energy ecosystem.
Bringing together governments, policymakers, industry leaders, investors, innovators, researchers, multilateral organisations and international institutions, BRESE serves as a catalyst for accelerating renewable energy deployment through strategic partnerships, technology exchange and knowledge sharing. The inaugural edition, to be held from 2–5 November 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, marks the beginning of a new chapter in India's renewable energy journey. Held alongside the 9th Session of the International Solar Alliance (ISA) Assembly and the 4th International Conference on Green Hydrogen (ICGH), BRESE reflects India's commitment to bringing the global clean energy community together to shape a more sustainable and resilient future.
BRESE builds upon the strong foundation established by RE-INVEST, India's flagship renewable energy investment platform, which helped position the country as one of the world's leading renewable energy destinations. Over successive editions, RE-INVEST brought together governments, industry leaders, investors and technology innovators to catalyse investment, strengthen international partnerships and accelerate India's clean energy transition.
The 4th Global Renewable Energy Investors' Meet & Expo reflected the scale and impact of this legacy. It featured 43 high-level sessions and welcomed over 50,000 delegates, including 250 international delegates and 250 speakers. Participation extended across 30 States and Union Territories, including eight partner states, while partner countries such as Denmark, Germany, Norway and Australia, along with delegates from the UAE, Singapore and Bhutan, reinforced its global reach.
Beyond dialogue, RE-INVEST delivered tangible outcomes by facilitating 816 B2B meetings and 110 B2G meetings, setting a target of 570 GW of installed renewable energy capacity, and attracting investment commitments worth USD 387.83 billion (₹32.45 lakh crore). It also marked the signing of the India–Germany Platform for Investments in Renewable Energies. It witnessed major renewable energy commitments from states, including Gujarat's pledge to add 128.60 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030.
With a social media reach exceeding 377.5 million, RE-INVEST has evolved into a globally recognised platform that showcases India's renewable energy leadership and reinforces its position as one of the world's fastest-growing clean energy markets.
BRESE carries this legacy forward, expanding beyond investment to create a comprehensive international platform for policy dialogue, manufacturing, innovation, technology collaboration, capacity building and global partnerships that will shape the next phase of the global energy transition.

The Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE), Government of India, is the country's nodal ministry responsible for formulating policies and programmes that accelerate the transition towards a secure, sustainable and self-reliant energy future.
Over the past decade, MNRE has driven one of the world's fastest renewable energy transitions through progressive policy reforms, infrastructure development, manufacturing initiatives, investment facilitation, international cooperation and citizen-centric programmes. Today, its mandate extends across renewable power generation, green hydrogen, bioenergy, domestic manufacturing, grid infrastructure, skill development and emerging clean energy technologies.
The National Green Hydrogen Mission (NGHM) was launched by the Indian government in 2023 as an umbrella initiative to establish a robust Green Hydrogen ecosystem, supporting India's transition toward its Net Zero target by 2070. The mission targets an annual production of 5 MMT of Green Hydrogen by 2030, expected to draw over ₹8 lakh crore in total investments and create more than 6 lakh green jobs.

About the International Solar Alliance
The International Solar Alliance (ISA) is a global intergovernmental organisation dedicated to accelerating the deployment of solar energy as a pathway to energy access, energy security, and sustainable development. Established in 2015 as a joint initiative of India and France on the sidelines of the COP21 Paris Climate Conference, ISA was created to mobilise collective action against climate change through the widespread adoption of solar energy solutions.
Today, ISA has evolved into a global platform for international cooperation on solar energy. Following an amendment to its Framework Agreement in 2020, membership is open to all Member States of the United Nations, enabling countries across the world to collaborate in accelerating solar deployment.
